A New Life: What It Means to Be Born Again! Part Two.

“The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So, it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.” John 3:8

C. H. Spurgeon once said, “When men are perishing, it would be cruel to interest their minds or amuse their fancies. We must give earnest heed to their necessities. Is it famine that slays them? We must give them food. Is it a disease? Let us give the medicine. Now the spiritual needs of men are urgent, and the most pressing is their regeneration: they must be born again or lost.” In other words, being born again is every humankind necessity because it is a change of heart to live according to God’s will, not just a change of skin.

As we can see, the Bible shows us the glimpse of being born again benefits in today’s Bible verse, which says. “The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So, it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.” When one is born again, they are cleansed of all sin and are given new life in Christ. This new life brings many benefits, chief among them being eternal salvation from the consequences of sin. In addition, those who are born again receive the Holy Spirit, who provides guidance and strength in difficult times.

Romans 5:1 says, “Therefore since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

The benefits of being born again are manifold, but most importantly, they provide hope for eternity and a renewed relationship with God that we cannot have without being born again. God begins to change us from the inside out when we are saved. He begins to give us a new nature that wants to do what is good and right. This new nature is called the “spiritual life.” We are still living in our sinful physical bodies, but we now have the Holy Spirit inside of us, guiding and helping us.

The Bible says that anyone “born of the Spirit” is born to a new, holy, and divine life. They are no longer bound by the chains of sin but have been set free to enjoy spiritual dispensation (John 3:6). This means that they have been given special blessings from God, such as His love, mercy, grace, and peace. This new life in Christ is more than just reformation. It is a complete transformation that leads to a life of holiness and righteousness. We can’t do it alone, but with God’s help, we can become the people He has designed us to be. Praise Him for His amazing grace! Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Prayer:
1. Lord, I thank you for your steadfast love and faithfulness in my life.
2. Holy Spirit, help me to live a life of faith and trust in you. Help me to live according to God’s will.
3. John 14:13; Every power of darkness waiting to carry out evil temptation against your life and household shall never rise but wither and perish in Jesus’ name. Amen.
