According to His Will.

According to His Will.

According to His Will.

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 1John 5:14

There are different comments and sayings about prayer. Some say that it is a way of expressing your faith, while others say that prayer is an act of worship. I think that both are correct because prayer is a means of communicating with God’s will. When you pray in the way that is pleasing to him, means you express your faith and worship to God.

However, there have been numerous questions on whether God hears and answers prayer. Some make references to past times they’ve prayed and never saw the result. And then I ask, has there ever been any answered prayer before? Definitely, Yes! There are testimonies which are evidence that God hears and answers prayers in our time and in history.

It is vital to know that prayer is not what believers alone do. The Buddhist prays, the Muslims, the Hindus, and other religions pray. And also believers, we pray but the position and the connection of our heart with God and His will is one of the things we should always check. This relationship with God distinguishes us from other religious conviction.

I observe that a man can become familiar with prayers such that he sees it as daily sayings. Once this happens, your prayers began to lose value and lack faith. Our prayer must fully be backed up with a faith-filled heart and must be prayed according to the will of the father. You shouldn’t expect God to answer any prayer that is against His will. Jeremiah 6:16 God said that “Stand at the crossroads and look. Ask for the ancient paths: Where is the best way? Then walk in it, and find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it!’

Self-will, self-love, self-exaltation, self-gratification, self-righteousness, self-pity, self-hatred, self-doubt are all antagonists of the will of God.

God’s will is an existential reality, He only seeks people who will ask and pray to reveal his will to them. This makes God-willed prayers to be instant and more answerable than self-willed prayers. So it is imperative to first understand what the will of God is and then channel our daily desires and prayers to it rather than praying amiss.

Any time you want to ask God for a thing, first ask yourself, “Is this God’s will?” or end the prayer like this, ” Let your will be done. I am trusting you, o Lord; I have no other choice but you alone. Jesus looked up at the supreme hour, just before the Passion for redeeming the whole world, He prayed “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” Luke 22:42

Prayer:
1. Thank God for today’s situation and devotion. Let your heart be filled with Joy in the Lord.
2. God, let your will be my focus. Increase my thirst for you, Lord, and let thy will be done.
3. Holy Ghost breath on me and change every spirit of self, and self’s desire blocking the will of God in my life in Jesus name.
