Avoid Decision Fatigue! Part Four

“Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and my God!” Psalm 42:11

When we’re feeling down, it’s easy to get wrapped up in our heads and spiral into negative thoughts. Today’s Bible verse reminds us to avoid decision fatigue and instead put our hope in God. Despite how we’re feeling, we should give thanks for all the good in our lives. We can start to shift our focus from the negative to the positive by doing this. This can become a habit and help us feel more peace and joy with time and practice.

When we lift our praise to God, we see Him in a new light. Our spiritual sense is awakened, and we can see Him working in our lives. We also begin to see the truth in His Word, and our minds are opened up to His plan for us. We can then receive from Him what He has for us and be transformed into who He desires us to be. So let us lift our heads and hearts to God, praising Him through all of life’s ups and downs. Let us be a light for others, pointing them to the One who brings hope and healing.

Exodus 15:2 says, “The Lord is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation; this is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.”

I used to get overwhelmed with all the decisions I had to make every day. But then I learned about the power of praise. When I take a break from decision-making and thank God for all He has done, my mind is refreshed, and my heart is filled with joy. This helps me avoid decision fatigue and focus on what matters. So praise Him today for all He has done, and watch your worries melt away.

It’s easy to get discouraged and disappointed when we have already forgotten the promises of God because Life seems hard. But even amid our discouragement and disappointment, if we can take time to remember His promises and shout hallelujah, we will find joy and happiness radiating from us. Our heads will be lifted to see beyond our current circumstances. We can see God’s hand at work, even in difficult times. And when our hearts are filled with joy, we overflow with love for others. We become a light in the darkness, showing others the way to God. Amen. 2 Samuel 22:4 says, “I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.”
