Christ is Ultimately in Control! Part Two

Christ is Ultimately in Control! Part Two.

“Therefore, God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name above all names.” Philippians 2:9

Many people in the world look for stability in their lives. They search for something that they can control and rely on. For example, some people may find stability in their job, while others may find it in their relationships. However, stability cannot be found in the natural world. The natural world is full of change and chaos. This is why it is so important for believers to find their stability in God. God is unchanging and is always in control.

In Philippians 2:9-11, Paul wrote, “Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Christ is in control of all things. This means that no matter what happens in this world, Christ is still in charge. This is a comforting thought for believers, especially during times of trouble. Christ is working on your behalf even when you do not see it. Therefore, I want you to take comfort in the knowledge that Christ is in control.

Psalm 36:9 says, “For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see the light.”

Brethren, take comfort in knowing Christ is always working on your behalf. Some claim that Christ’s control is not always efficacious. Acts 17:28 made it clear, however, that in Christ “we live and move and have our being, as some of your poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.” Christ, Himself also affirms this truth in John 10:28, stating, “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand.” Since God is in control, we can trust Him to work out all things for our good (Romans 8:28). This does not mean that we will never face difficult circumstances in life, but it does mean that we can rest in the knowledge that God is always working for our ultimate good.

Moreover, because Christ is in control, we can trust Him to guide us and speak words of life into our lives. His commands and words are graciously meant to govern our lives in a way that leads to our greatest joy and fulfillment. As we follow Christ, we can be confident that He will lead us in the path of righteousness for His name’s sake (Psalm 23:3). Amen. Now with the knowledge that Christ is in control of all things, be assured that no matter what happens in this world, Christ’s authority is always efficacious. Amen. Job 12:10 says, “The life of every living thing is in His hand, as well as the breath of all mankind.” Amen.

Prayer:
1. Thank you, Jesus, for your grace and mercy. I am thankful.
2. Psalm 34:5; Oh Lord, I pray that you continue to be the radiant of joy in my life. Let me not be ashamed as I continue to trust in you in Jesus’ name. Amen.
