Communing with the Father!

Communing with the Father!

“Early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up and slipped out to a solitary place to pray.” Mark 1:35

Joseph was six years old; he was so close to his Father that people could hardly separate them both. Even his mum tried several times, but all to no avail. His mum had noticed that, after dinner, they would talk for a long time, and at times she gets envious. Joseph always wants to be around and talk to his Father. It was then that his mom discovered the truth about the strong bond between fathers and sons.

The bond between Joseph and his dad is strong and filled with love. You see, there are times when you must have found yourself in some engaging conversation, maybe with someone special to you. You can deeply relate to how easy it was for you then. Likewise, our communication with our Father should take the same similitude.

Isaiah 1:18 says, “Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.”

Conversation with the Father should, as believers should create a stronger bond and relationship just as my six years old boy (Joseph) and his earthly Father. A popular saying goes like this “Relationship birth fellowship and bonds fellowship birth intimacy or oneness.” Conversing is the perfect time to express your desire for God. I am not talking about the prayer you practiced routinely but rather the way you connect with God.

Remember, communication is the key to connection, and it involves a two-way between you and the Father. Our Heavenly Father knows our struggles, and He is not the devil that condemns and accuses believers. At the same time, there are days when you may not feel like communicating with the Father due to sin, tiredness, etc. However, the truth is that those periods are an opportunity to share your struggle with God. 1 Peter 5:7 says, “Casting all your anxieties on Jesus because he cares for you.

Prayer:
1. Father, help me to commune with you frequently.
2. Oh Lord, I pray that you give me strength in my weakness in Jesus’ name.
