Consider Your Environment!

Consider Your Environment!

“So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin.” Matthew 6:28

A certain woman was barren for many years, and all efforts to get a baby were no avail. Medical help failed, self-help failed, but God’s help which never fails, did not fail her. God granted her help through her environment. How?

She woke up one day and, in dejection, went to her pen (an enclosure for holding livestock) to commit suicide, where no one can see her. But lo, it was her miracle that awaited her. Sets of her domestic animals just delivered. In amazement, she shouted with a loud cry; my domestic animals can give birth and are not barren; I am not barren. Hallelujah! That spurs her faith, and the knot of bareness broke loose.

Psalm 104:24-25 says, “How many are Your works, O LORD! In wisdom, You have made them all; the earth is full of Your creatures. Here is the ocean, vast and wide, teeming with life of every kind, both large and small.”

God in His power and majesty took time to create everything He created, indisputably for humankind. After creating humanity, they were introduced to their environment for growth and development, possession, and dominion over all things. Everything God created around humanity has been made to suit humanity’s needs in every way possible. It was made with loving-kindness and compassion to benefit us.

The earth is our home temporarily, yet we must be grateful for its existence and learn the lessons of how to live a life that will help us survive and thrive. That’s why Jesus said you consider the environment as an institution of learning that enables you to grow, develop, and thrive in your faith. Don’t take nature for granted; therefore, consider it the most important thing you can ever have. Psalm 136:5 says, “By God insight He made the heavens. His loving devotion endures forever.”

Prayer:
1. Lord, I thank you for the works of your hands, and all you do; let me be a testimony by faith.
2. Lord, I pray for deliverance from ignorance in my environment and for the good of humanity.
