Craving for God!

Craving for God!

“As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for You, O God.” Psalms 42:1

A deer is an animal that cannot cope without water. For a deer, water is oxygen to survive. God is our water, and we should crave for him far more than we crave for everything on earth. Are we truly longing for God because we are instructed to do so or from a Christian home? Trust it or not, there is no way we can believe God if we don’t know him, and there is no way we can know him if we don’t crave to know Him.

The living God becomes alive in the lives of humankind when they begin to hunger for him. God is a God of righteousness since he gives justly to those that hunger for him. You have been a baby for so long; when are you going to be a grown Christian (the one who desires robust meat) (the one who craves strong meat). What may last you during terrible moments is your hunger for God and not merely being a Christian.

Matthew 5:6 says, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.”

Or are you asking? Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why am I so upset within my heart? Why do I feel like there’s no way out of this situation? The answer is to put your trust in God and remain in the worship of him. He is your Savior and your God. You are created in His image and likeness, therefore knowing Him more will help you know the truth about yourself that you have been lacking.

In the desert of Judah, David said, “God, you are my God; I earnestly seek You. I hunger for you; my body faints for You in a place that is parched, barren, and without water.” (Psalm 63:1). David was convinced that his circumstance will change; thus, he kept his attention on God. So likewise, what may make you stand in the days of problems, trials, and financial difficulty is your Craving for God. Because there is a satisfaction mindset that comes from knowing God more and more, Daniel 11:32b says, “The people who know their God shall be strong and do great exploits.”

Prayer:
1. Psalm 63:4; Oh Lord, I will bless you as long as I live; in Your name I will lift my hands.
2. To the everlasting God, you alone can fill my starving soul. I am open up to a refreshing moment in your kingdom. I throw all my concerns onto you for your powerful intervention in Jesus’ name. Amen
