Finishing Line is the Feat!

Finishing Line is the Feat!

“And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:6

You have often heard this quote that “a quitter never wins, and a winner never quits or gives up.” But let me also reminded you that a finishing line is different from a quitting line. A finish line is a feat, not just a goal, it’s an accomplishment that assures you a better tomorrow, but a quitting line can lead to a failure that will leave you feeling defeated. So, what does this mean? Well, it means that we cannot just stop on our dream unnecessarily and expect to be successful.

We must keep moving forward with determination and perseverance because when you don’t see your dreams coming true, you are not on a finishing line yet. And you cannot take some else finishing line as yours because that might be quitting line. So, in Habakkuk 2:2-3, the Lord said (paraphrase) write your vision and plan for success, then in verse three, the Lord said to wait for it to come to pass. And it will surely come to pass in Jesus’ name.

Apostle Paul declared in 2 Timothy 4:7, saying, “I have fought the good and worthy and noble fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

The point of this verse from 2 Timothy 4:7 is to remind us that we are all runners and fighters, but we must keep going until our goal is achieved. While Apostle Paul was writing about his own life, that he had finished the race of his life, someone else races continue, while other people’s race just started. In other words, God’s plan for you is different from others even we are all connected in some way or another.

Everyone’s journey is different. Everyone has an opportunity to make something extraordinary, but not everyone can do what it takes to make it happen in life. But I encourage you to continue your race of life and never give up until you cross the finish line, which is the goal or vision you have written down and as God directed you achieve it. James 1:4 says, “let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Prayer:
1. Dear Lord, thank you for your great mercy and grace in my life that I can accomplish this wonderful feat.
2. Oh Lord, I ask you to bring to perfection the good things you have started in my family and me in Jesus’ name. Amen.
