Focus on Your Goals! 2

Focus on your goals! 2

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.” Hebrews 12:1

Focusing on one thing for a long time can be tiring, and it can drain you of the willpower to forge ahead. That is why you will need perseverance and consistency. With perseverance, your patience might be tested, but you will not give up because you will be reminded of the reason you started in the first place. Then you get your strength to move forward and keep pushing till that seed becomes a mighty tree.

Perseverance is the key to success. It is a mindset that can be learned and practiced. If it is a matter of luck or chance, we don’t need to worry or talk about it. Because there is something, we need to learn to become a better person and stronger. It’s not easy, but our minds will change with time, and we’ll start to see things differently.

James 5:11 says, “Behold, we consider those blessed who remained steadfast. You have heard of the steadfastness of Job, and you have seen the purpose of the Lord, how the Lord is compassionate and merciful.”

The human mind is sharpened and strengthened by the experience gained from perseverance’s journey. It’s like a magnet for positive energy. It coordinates our mind’s thoughts, emotions, and actions to create a positive outcome to keep our mind focused on what we want. The more we focus on the positive aspects of life’s goal, the more likely our minds will find a solution that works for us. What is your next goal?

When we are focused on something, our mind can see opportunities to grow and some obstacles to avoid. Jesus said that only those who focused on the word of God would know the truth, and the same truth shall set them free to do great things (Paraphrase -John 8:31-32). If you have been struggling with this issue, I encourage you not to give up. Instead, try focusing on what you can control and let God take care of the rest. Philippians 1:6 says, “And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”

Prayer:
1. Dear Lord, thank you for your steadfast love and patience.
2. Oh Lord, endow me the spirit of perseverance to continue my faith in you in Jesus’ name. Amen.
