From the Hand of God! 2

“A person can do nothing better than to eat and drink and find satisfaction in their toil. This too, I see, is from the hand of God.” Ecclesiastes 2:24

When God created the earth, He gave humankind dominion over the works of His hands; He put all things under their authority. He didn’t take anything out of the earth; instead, He said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. So they will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.” In other words, He gave human beings dominion over everything.

God gave us everything to find pleasure, not pressure or fear in every situation. However, humankind has been caught up with greediness in every aspect of life. They want to turn everything into a selfish advantage for themselves. They want to have more money, power, and prestige than anyone else in the world. So, from this greediness’s perspective, humankind turns good health into bad health; they turn a healthy environment into a hostile environment. But they forgot what 1 Timothy 6:7 says, that we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.”

Job 1:21 says, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will return. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away. Blessed be the name of the LORD.”

Brethren, don’t be a slave to money if you want to live a happy life, instead allow money to be your slave. Don’t pursue “money with slaves on it” but pursue money with God on it. Because money with a slave on it will cause bittersweet and misery in your heart. But money with God on it will bring peace and joy to your heart. Remember, Proverbs 10:22 says, “The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.” So be wise with what you have and who you are. Don’t let the pressure from making money make you miserable and lose sight of what God has for you.

The work of God’s hands is to bring out the best in us so that we might be able to do great things in this world. The only way to get there is by doing things in a way that is pleasing to God and not being greedy or selfish. This means you don’t overuse yourself but rather take good care of yourself and others. When you are hungry, eat well and drink water regularly. Enjoy the fruits of your labor periodically and reach out to the needy in need. Remember, you are the temple of God; he created you for a purpose. Hebrews 13:5 says, “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, for God has said: “Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.”

1. Oh Lord, give me wisdom and strength to enjoy your blessings in this life in Jesus’ name. Amen.
2. Philippians 4:19 “my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Amen.
