God is Molding Us!

“Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though some strange thing were happening to you.” 1Peter 4:12

There’s a dimension of God that can only be seen in affliction. There’s quite some understanding that people will never encounter until they get into their dark and lonely moments. God uses problems in a different form, but most of the time, to bring out the best in people. Often, our most profound and intimate experiences of worship will likely be in the darkest days.

Don’t be forced to believe that it’s the hate of God when you pass through some life tests, when your heart is broken, when you feel abandoned when you’re out of options when the pain is great, when you turn to God alone. During suffering, we learn to pray our most authentic, heartfelt, and honest prayers to God because we know that He is faithful and loves us unconditionally.

1 Corinthians 1:9 says, “God, who has called you into fellowship with His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.”

God is not wicked. He’s intentional about what He makes us pass through. The furnace is for furnishing; without the furnace, you can’t be furnished and branded. Imagine God had kept Joseph out of jail, if He had kept Daniel out of the lion’s den, if He had kept the three Hebrews from the blazing furnace, thank God He didn’t. These dimensions of affliction molded out the nature of God in those characters involved.

Therefore, the challenges force us to look to God and depend on Him instead of ourselves. You will never know that God is all you need until God is all you’ve got. The days when you’re alone, the days when your life is solitary, the days you walk through troubles without the company of friends and families, God is molding out the nature of Christ in you. James 1:12 says, “Blessed are those who persevere under trial because, having stood the test, they will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.”

Prayer:
1. Lord, help me that Christ is formed as I worship you and made my soul perfect in Christ.
2. Psalm 34:19 “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him from them all.” May the Lord, deliver you from all your trouble in Jesus’ name. Amen.
