How Your Choices Define You! Part Five

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” Colossians 3:16

Making good choices is not always easy, but it is worth it. We need to be mindful of our choices and think about the consequences. We should also ask for guidance from God, who knows what is best for us. A single drop of water is insignificant, but when it joins with other drops, it can create a powerful force. We all make choices, and these choices define us. Our decisions determine not only our present but also our future.

Every choice we make leads us down a unique path, and we can never go back to change them. So choose wisely and be mindful of the consequences, for your choices will determine the course of your life. The choice you made today can make you happy or sad. In your career choices or relationships with others, your choices can positively or negatively affect you. If you don’t take the time to think and reflect on what you are doing, then it is easy to get lost in the noise of other people’s lives.

Psalm 119:29-31 says, “Remove from me the way of lying and grant me Your law graciously. I have chosen the way of truth, your judgments I have laid before me. Therefore, I cling to Your testimonies; Oh Lord, do not put me to shame!”

The psalmist understood the vital way of life, and that integrity is a crucial component of living well. He knew that by choosing to live with integrity and cling to the way of God, he would be able to live a life of true peace and joy. He chose his own path and didn’t let anyone’s opinion influence him. And today, history has shown us that what he chose gives light to generation after generation. Your choices determine whom you become and how the next generation will view you. Therefore, choose carefully because the decision you make has an impact on your future.

We can choose to follow Christ or decide what direction our life should take. God never forces you to do something but instead decides to allow you to choose. So when God gave His Son as a sacrifice for our sins, and wretchedness, He still gives us the chance to choose. I pray that your everyday choice will bring you and your family the sweetest joy in Jesus’ name. Amen. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Prayer:
1. Father, I thank you for allowing me to choose the life path in Christ Jesus.
2. Lord, you are my shepherd, and I am your sheep; direct me in the right direction.
