I Trust You, Lord!

I Trust You, Lord!

“You keep them in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you because they trust in you.” Isaiah 26:3

Every time, I am reminded of what God has done, and I trust him more and more. I have been saved by faith, and I am still under God’s grace to live through the good works of Christ. This is the way of life, and it is the way of salvation that Christ enriched us by giving us the gift of eternal life.

When I was young, my father told me the story of how he had saved a man from drowning. I remember thinking, wow! This man must be brave. But then he said to me that he didn’t save the man from death, but God did rescue him. I said, wow, and how? My father replied, “I don’t have the power to save anyone unless God is willing to help.” I thought, why would God help someone who has no power to save them?

Psalm 37:4-6 says, “Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.”

We must always put our trust and confidence in what God has done. In Him was the righteousness of the law fulfilled. You and I, today, are the recipient of God’s righteousness. We do away with the righteousness that is as a filthy rag (Isaiah 64.6). God’s righteousness is freely given in Christ Jesus.

We don’t have to labor for God’s righteousness; no amount of work can make us earn the righteousness of God. The righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ is given, not earned. I hope you don’t depend on your ability to keep and live the righteousness of God. It is his grace that gives you the peace and security to know he will keep you. He has already done so much for you, and he will continue to do so for you. Proverbs 3:5 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your understanding.”

Prayer:
1. Father, I thank you for your righteousness, I do not hold on to any righteousness of my self but you.
2. I trust you, Lord, with all my heart, and do not rely on your understanding.
3. Psalm 119:165: Oh, Lord, Give me your abundance of peace and comfort in Jesus’ name.
