In Whom do You Trust!

In whom do You Trust?

“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.” Psalm 20:7

In ancient times, chariots and horses are great animals for war. Any nation with these tools has strong confidence for war, defense, and security of their territory. Pharaoh believed so much in his chariots and horses, which contributed to his conviction to pursue Israel’s children (knowing that they do not have such). The end of those generations was in the belly of the sea.

The way of the Lord is not the way of humankind. There is a way God wants us to live without being grievous at all because the just shall live by their faithfulness to Him. Jesus made it a reference for us when He answered the devil’s temptation. “Man shall not live by bread alone.” There are way humanity lives, and they can only live well by the prescribed way of living.

Habakkuk 2:4 says, “Behold the proud, their soul is not upright in them, But the just shall live by their faith.”

Many believe in their influence and affluence. This is contrary to God’s way of living for us. The security and hope of life cannot be guaranteed in your job, insurance, affluence. As good as these things are, our lives should not be premised on them. Cast your mind back to a generation that believes so much in themselves and what they have. The defiant generation wanted to build the tower to reach the heavens. They were conceited in their abilities.

For you to live the God-given life, your absolute trust must be in God. Nothing else should take the place of God. Nothing else guarantees your life other than God and His ways. Always remember the Lord and trust in Him. Hebrews 10:38 says, “But My righteous one will live by faith; and if they shrink back, I will take no pleasure in them.”

Prayer:
1. Lord, I put my absolute trust in you today and in nothing else
2. Micah 7:8 “Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will arise; though I sit in darkness, the LORD will be my light.” in Jesus name.
