Meditation!

“This Book of the Law must not depart from your mouth; you are to meditate on it day and night so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. For then, you will prosper and succeed in all you do.” Joshua 1:8

Mediation is an imaginary act that takes us into the reality of invisible things. Of course, mediation is a righteous act that every believer must always exercise. One of the characteristics of a Christian is that we believe in the invisible. Though we live in this world, we are not entitled to this world alone, and we have the privilege to relate supernaturally.

A believer believes the unseen more than what is seen, and that is the basis of our faith. By meditating on God’s Word, we enter into the reality of the Word. Though the Word might appear as a mere written word at first, meditation takes us into its reality. Every time you pick a verse from the scripture, you treat such verse as a real spoken word of God, not just like letters. You keep creating an image of what the scripture is saying until it comes to reality.

So, meditating on every verse helps us to understand the mind of God for us per time. Another fundamental importance of meditation is that it makes the Word of God permanent in our hearts. Every of God’s Word is meant to sink into our spirit, beyond the mere surface of the mind.

That is when the Word becomes more impactful and relevant to humans because we are meant to operate not just in the body but also as a spirit. In order words, meditation helps us build our spiritual being and, in turn, become what God desires for us. Psalm 119:11 says, “Your word I have treasured in my heart, that I may not sin against You.” What about you?

Prayer:
Father, thank you for your Word that you’ve given onto us, we thank you for the blessings. Help us to dwell and meditate on your Word more and more Lord.
