Not with Uncertainty!

Not with Uncertainty! 2

“Now faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the certainty of what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1

Uncertainty is the fundamental part of hopelessness. It is like troubled water. When we are uncertain about something, we cannot see what lies ahead and give up easily. From what we read from previous devotions, we see that Apostle Paul was confident in God’s promises; he was optimistic about his calling and the services he rendered in God’s vineyard. Do you know what lies ahead of you?

The story of the three Hebrews men names Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego is one of the most important stories that make a unique point of being certain of who they are and what they believe. Despite all the capital punishment that has been imposed upon them, they remained faithful to God’s word and refused to bow down to any Nebuchadnezzar’s image. At the end of the story, the Lord was pleased with their faithfulness. And because of their certainty in God, king Nebuchadnezzar spoke, saying,

“Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, who sent His Angel and delivered His servants who trusted in Him, and they have frustrated the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they should not serve nor worship any god except their own God!” (Daniel 3:28).

We should always keep our eyes on God, even amid any circumstances that may arise. I am sure there will be times when we feel lost and unsure of God’s promises and how they will work out. But if we have faith in God, then our hope for him will be greater than anything else because He rewards those who diligently seek and trust in Him with all their heart and mind (Hebrew 11:6).

Brethren, we can never know what lies ahead of us unless we are willing to trust in God. In God, there is no hopeless soul or wanderer to those who believe in His word. But we must be certain of the Lord’s promise and his faithfulness. Remember, to do exploits in God’s kingdom; you must know your God. Galatians 3:11 says, “Now it is clear that no one is justified before God by the law, because, “The righteous will live by faith.”

Prayer:
1. Father, I pray that you give me the heart to obey your commands.
2. Oh Lord, grant me the courage to walk in the way of righteousness in Jesus’ name. Amen
