Overcoming Doubtful Mindset

Overcoming Doubtful Mindset!

“But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let, not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.” James 1:6-8

The mind refers to a set of cognitive faculties, which include consciousness, imagination, perception, thinking, judgment, language, and memory; all these are being housed in the brain. One of the fundamental goals that everyone foresees in life is to have a pleasurable time here.

Self-doubt or double-mindedness is, in itself, unwarranted. When you failed at something and ultimately doubted your ability to do it, you are only preventing yourself from progressing. Often, double-mindedness could be your unwillingness to do something, and this could be fatal to the extent that it may force you to neglect your potential or never experience its full value.

Under no circumstances should you ever doubt yourself, and when it is about your potential, realize that the sky is the limit. When you want to take some actions or make decisions towards something, you can evaluate the consequence of your actions using your sense of realism – don’t just be pessimistic to conclude that your actions will not be favorable.

It is important to remember that there are many things in life that we cannot control, but we can control our attitude and how we react to them. The more positive you are, without a doubt, the better chance you have of achieving your goals. Psalm 119:113 says, “The double-minded I despise, but Your law I love.”

Prayer:
1. Thank you, Jesus.
2. I ask for the strength to overcome the enemy of the inner mindset that has caused me to lose my faith in Jesus’ name. Amen
