Perseverance!

Perseverance!

“For surely, there is an end, and your expectation shall not be cut off.” Proverbs 23:18

What extent can you wait before you get what you want? What extent can you go to get to where you are going? How long can you endure to mines honey hid inside the rock? These are the questions’ perseverance asks and seek to answer.

In ordinary language, perseverance can be said to mean: persistence, determination, strict adherence to a course, insistence on goals set, aims sought to be achieved, mission and vision set to be accomplished. However, perseverance is the ability to persist despite adversity or setbacks. The word perseverance comes from the Latin root for’ endurance, ‘ which means to keep going and get tough.

All human endeavors require perseverance for it to succeed and thrive. Persevering times are times you need to stretch yourself despite pains to achieve your goal and forge ahead to finish the line. Remember that there are an end and a hope in the Lord for you, therefore do not quit, never relent, and never recede.

Precious is the gold that perseveres the furnace of fire. Therefore, persevere in your faith and become precious at the end. In the face of discouraging factors and challenging situations, you must keep moving. There is a light at the end of every tunnel; some tunnels happen to be longer than others. Quit not, instead persevere! Hebrews 12:3 says, “consider Jesus who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself so that you won’t grow weary and give up.”

Prayer:
1. Lord God, I receive grace to persevere in you until I become the precious of me.
2. I declare now that my family and I shall overcome every obstacle and hardship in Jesus’ name.
