Sense it Now, Not Later!

“But strong meat belongs to those who are mature, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” Hebrew 5:14.

‘Sense,’ according to Merriam-Webster dictionary, says it is “to understand or to be aware of something without being told about it or having evidence that it is true.” I pray that may each one of us attains this height of senses in our walk with God in Jesus’ name. This topic was birthed out of the inspiration of the Holy Ghost from Mathew 17:1-2.

If a Christian is about to be blessed in his or her occupation, ministry, or expertise, one needs to have his or her senses activated as you might not know the day or hour you will be blessed. Those who take things for granted got disappointed and regretted their actions when they didn’t do what they were supposed to do. Remember, if you want to get ahead in life, you need to understand God’s purpose and His plan for your life.

Don’t act like the Jews that failed to see the fulfillment of the prophecy in John and Jesus. They have been praying for years for the fulfillment of the prophecy, but when the manifestation comes, they couldn’t sense it, not until after John and Jesus were killed. Please don’t join the category of people who don’t know the importance of Christ in their life. Or you’re still questioning themselves, ‘why should I know Jesus?’ It is okay if they don’t sense the need to know Jesus personally now, but sooner, they will realize the need.

Adam and Eve didn’t sense the consequence of eating the forbidden fruit until they were chased out of the garden of Eden. Since that time, humans experience pain and death in their fleshly bodies because God’s presence is not present to guide them. But Jesus knows the pain and suffering with humanity, so that’s why He came to save us (Romans 5:12–21). The ultimate Adam (Jesus) wept for the pain and suffering of humanity. I encourage you to know Him more and ask that person beside you to know Him now before it is too late. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “God hath made Jesus be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Christ.

Prayer:
1. Father, open up my senses, spiritually, financially, and physically in the name of Jesus.
2. Father, open my eyes to see my helper before I misbehave in his or her presence.
3. Oh Lord, help me to understand your purpose in my life now in Christ.
