Showing Gratitude in Everyday life! Part Two

“I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise will always be on my lips.” Psalm 34:1

The benefits of thankfulness are like the benefits of a good night’s sleep. They are both refreshing and help us to feel better mentally and physically. In a world where tragedy and hurt seem to be the norm, one little girl has found solace in gratitude. Born with a congenital heart defect that required multiple surgeries as a child, Nancy was given only a 25% chance of surviving past her first year. But despite her challenges, Nancy has made it her mission to live a positive and grateful life. She expresses her gratitude through writing, speaking engagements, and sharing her story with others.

When asked why she is thankful for the gift of life, Nancy said, “I am grateful because God has used her family to support her in many ways and has provided her with so much more than she could ever imagine.” She went on to say that no matter what life throws her way, she knows that God is always with her and will help her through anything. She believed in God for her condition and was grateful for all the good things he had done for her. Likewise, she also mentioned the benefit of gratitude, saying that “when we take the time to be thankful for the good things in our lives, it opens the door for more good things to come.”

Lamentations 3:22-24 says, “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.”

Brethren, having a grateful heart can benefit our lives and bring more good things into our lives. When we are grateful, we focus on the good things in our lives rather than the negative. This helps us stay positive and look for the good in every situation. Just as a plant needs water and sunlight to grow, we too need to be grateful to flourish. Just as a plant withers and dies without water and sunlight, we too can become spiritually malnourished without gratitude.

Giving thanks is like a vitamin for the soul. It helps us see the good in life, even on our darkest days. The benefits of gratitude are many. A grateful heart is more peaceful and content. It also attracts positive things into our lives. Gratitude opens the door for help from above and allows us to see the hand of God in everything. A grateful heart is a blessed heart! God knows the benefit of gratitude and encourages us to be grateful in everything (1 Thessalonians 5:18). When we are thankful, we are giving God the honor due to Him. We are also inviting His help into our lives. Psalm 100:4 says, “Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.”

Prayer:
Give almighty God the praise for keeping you alive to see this moment. Thank God for your health, your family, and your friends.
