Sifting Towards Perfection!

Sifting Towards Perfection!

“The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.” Psalm 138:8

Sifting towards perfection is a process of self- discovery just as gold miners used a gold mining pan to strain gold from sand. It is to be aware of what you are doing and how you can improve. The journey to becoming a better version of yourself that reflects the image of God can be strenuous. But if you continue to work towards perfection, you will begin to see the beauty of God’s creation.

In Christendom, there is a certain grace given to every one to profit withal, and the higher you go, the broader the constraint that will be placed on you. In the introductory message of Paul in 1 Corinthians 1:2, we could conclude that there are stages in perfection, such as the church of God, the sanctified ones, and the saints. The church is a generic name that is given to everyone that is called into Christianity; it is referred to as an assembly of believers who belong to God, this is a stage where one cannot tell his or her own identity but to follow.

The sanctified are that of immersion and redeemed by the blood of Christ for the remission of their sins. They know the importance of grace that comes from cross, death, and resurrection and the baptism in the Holy Spirit to produce good work. The saints: after the church has been sanctified, every member is a living saint, the term saints refer to those who are willing and are thus, they are living the godly life amid unbelievers. This is a stage we should earnestly desire to attain as sons and daughters of God, and it is not by well-wishing, it is a process.

The qualification for approval is what I call sifting; at this stage, the fleshy nature is being revealed. When a child of God is undergoing persecutions from relatives, neighbor’s, and outsiders without going against the will of God, it is a sign that one is experiencing the sifting process. Proverbs 4:18 says, “the path of the just is as the shining light, that shines more and more unto the perfect day.”

Prayer:
Declare these Confessions to yourself
1. From today henceforth, I refuse to believe that living like a saint is impossible
2. I am rising to be the son or daughter, you want me to be in Jesus’ name. Amen
