Speak the Words! 2

“The words of a man’s mouth are deep waters; The wellspring of wisdom is a flowing brook.” Proverbs 18:4

In every land, culture, and profession, there is a language by which people cooperate and communicate. This language can be a spoken word, terminology, sign language, or written expression. And to have the upper hand in some cultures or professions, one must be able to speak and understand their language. So likewise, in the kingdom of God, we must be able to understand and speak the languages of the throne of grace so that we can experience the full mercy and the power of God. That language is the foundation of our faith.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, “God breathes out all Scripture and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and training in righteousness that the man or woman of God may competently equipped for every good work.” In other words, it is important to know that bible is meant for us to understand the language of God. This means that we should learn how to speak and get used to every that comes along with it. But unfortunately, many people don’t have the time to learn the language of the kingdom.

2 Timothy 2:15 says, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a worker that does not need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

When you study the language of the kingdom, there are nine qualities or gifts that will always reflect in your character or speech. These are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (which is the fruit of the spirit in Galatians 5:22-23). These are all things that we should never forget because they increase faith; brings the gifts of healing; set people up for miracles of any kind, discern the things of the spirits, and understand others people.

Unfortunately, some people love to learn and speak verbiage leading to an argument without displacement and productivity. And every unnecessary argument will only waste time and energy, which also does hurt our spiritual life and other believers. So, give yourself to the word, study it to ensure that you offer the right message to others. This will also help you discern the right message when you hear them. 2 Peter 1:10 says, “Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent in making your call and election sure, for if you do these things, you will never stumble.”

Prayer:
1. Jesus, I believe that you are the word; help me love your word so that I may devote myself and receive the truth in your word.
2. Psalm 119:105; I declared, Oh Lord, that “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
