Stop Living in the Past!

Stop Living in the Past!

“Do not call to mind the former things; pay no attention to the things of old.” Isaiah 43:18

A successful life does not come from holding onto the past. Instead, it comes from letting go of what is no longer useful and embracing what is new. This is what Isaiah 43:18 tells us. To live a successful life, we must first be willing to let go of the things that no longer serve us. This includes negative thoughts, grudges, and anything else that is holding us back. Only then can we make room for new opportunities and experiences.

It can be difficult to let go of the past, but it is essential for living a successful life. By releasing what is no longer helpful, we open ourselves up to new possibilities. So let go of what is dragging you down and embrace what lies ahead. However, it would help if you accepted the reality that your past is not the end of this world and cannot be the end. You have the potential to accomplish higher things now and in the future. Remember, you must let go of the past to get to the best of the future. God has given you a new beginning and a new life.

In Philippians 3:13, Paul said, “I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead.”

The world is so filled with all manner of eventualities. The devil has deceived so many into all kinds of sinful and regrettable acts. And afterward, some will repent and follow Christ with all their heart (Glory is to God), all things then become new, and the old ways are gone irrespective of the damages. But some can’t accept this truth; they are tired of their past and so confused that they eventually commit suicide or get involved in more dangerous ways because they are still filled with their unrighteous past.

This is simply the devil’s plot; he desires that men should live on their errors, mistakes, and sinful past to a great extent that their hearts are filled with feelings and thoughts of guilt to create a pattern of rejection and fear of the future. The only way to avoid such fate is by living in the present moment. This is where we can learn from our past mistakes and move forward. It’s time to be out with the Old, In with the New in Christ Jesus. Amen. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come!”
