The Given Grace!

The Given Grace!

“For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people. It instructs us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live sensible, upright, and godly lives in the present age.” Titus 2:11-12

I read a story of a young lady who got a job in a big multinational organization. Her employment gave her much joy. However, a few days after she started working, she decided to take her lunch in one of the restaurants in the organization (it was a huge building). Just as she ordered the food and wanted to pay, the cashier was surprised because she had seen the ID card on her with a special privilege.

The cashier never knew any staff with such tags with eligible to take their lunch for free in that particular restaurant except for this young lady. This is a kind of appointed grace. She had the grace to take her lunch just for free. How many of such opportunities are you aware of in Christ?

The difference between God’s grace and this particular grace is that God’s grace is given to all. No matter how huge your sin is, the saving grace is available for you. An advanced level of this grace is experienced when we decide to accept and stay in Christ. We become more equipped to overcome sin and live righteously.

However, if grace must abound, we must ensure to walk in the will of God and abide in His ways. Just like the employed young lady could be able to get more free lunch, in as much as she gets it at the appropriate places. We must live with righteousness and godliness to enjoy more levels of God’s grace. Romans 6:1-2 says, “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? NO…”

Prayer:
Lord, I pray that you give me the grace to overcome every form of sin in my life. I receive grace to live a holy and sinless life.
