The Mind of Christ!

The Mind of Christ!

Again, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life.” John 8:12

One thing I have learned and admired about Christ is his open mind and His love for humankind. The genuine mind never forces things to happen but always works to make them happen through prayer, kindness, love, and faith. Because a genuine heart is a vessel for love, and it is when we are filled with love that we can truly feel the fullness of God’s presence. The question is, is your heart filled with the Love of God in this season and every day of your life? If not, then you need to start thinking differently.

Everything about Christ is a true spirit of God that has been given to us by God. Therefore, we must follow in his footsteps because he has been there, done that, and want us to follow him. As Christians, we should keep our hearts away from all forms of bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, evil speaking, and malice; we should be kind to one another, be ready to forgive, and give to those in need without expecting anything in return from them. Our lives should show that we are faithful followers of Christ by walking in love like Christ.

1 John 4:7 says, “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.”

Jesus Christ’s birth brought us out of the darkness into the new life, and it is not just to portray Himself as the savior alone but also to show how great is His love towards us. When He was on the cross bleeding and weeping for the sins of humankind who were right there mocking Him, yet He asked God to forgive them for they were ignorant of what they were doing. Therefore, we should not profess love with our mouths alone but express love with our actions to give and help people meet their needs and rescue them from challenging situations.

As you celebrate the season, keep that mind of Christ in you. Remember, a loving heart is a golden heart before God because God Himself is called love. When we have the mind of love, we have the mind of Christ. No matter who you are or what terrible things you might have done in the past, Christ always loves you even when you don’t know it. And He expected us to do the same things He did for us. Romans 12:9 says, “Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.”

Prayer:

  1. Dear Lord, I pray that you continue to love and forgive me when I do not love you.
  2. Please help me understand my heart’s desires and how they affect others.
