The Narrative of God’s Time!

The Narrative of God’s Time!

“To everything, there is a season, A time for every purpose under the heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1

At some point in life, we can be oblivious to the necessity and specific use of time. It is evident that many people waste their time on things that are not necessary, things that don’t matter, and unprofitable things. We all have our priorities, but what matters most is how we spend our time accomplishing God’s given priorities.

We can speak of time management as being humanistic or just a concept useful for our daily activities. But it is also essential to know that our lives are tied to it. God has strategically placed us in a world that is time to make us give an accurate account of all we do at a point. I’ve heard of the phrase “God’s time is the best.” Yes, it is the best, but it does not mean that we should be wasting the time we have now on something else. God’s time for every life has started since birth with his creation and continues to continue until we achieve our full potential to live a fulfilled life.

Ephesians 5:15-17 says, “Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time because the days are evil. Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.”

Therefore, Everyone is responsible for making our time God’s. Every moment you spend on carnal and unprofitable or rather sinful activities is totally out of God’s prepared time for you. God’s time is godly, spiritual, and profitable. Sometimes, we can translate God’s time to be a moment of sincere patience and waiting on the Lord without being lazy. At this time, we anticipate and expect that God should intervene in a particular matter.

The process of trusting and waiting for God’s time, I call it the natural or right time. The best in our lives is God’s time. It is quite disheartening that many people cannot work with God through the process because they believe He delays. No! God doesn’t linger. He only works in the way that pleases Him and brings out the best in us in His own best time, which is the accurate time for you. When He appears, the waiting always worth it. Ecclesiastes 8:6 says, “For there is a proper time and procedure for every matter, though a person may be weighed down by misery.”

Prayer:
1. I am set to wait on you, Lord, hear my desires, and let your presence fill my days.
2. Oh, Lord! Remember me for good in every situation in Jesus’ name.
