The Passionate Heart!

The Passionate Heart!

“For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

God has given you unimaginable treasures. Every time you awaken to the rich and beautiful world, I know you can feel the reality of abundance beyond your thinking. Regardless of how strong or weak, wealthy or poor you evaluate yourselves to be, you cannot deny that God has not given you anything new when you awake daily. Indeed, He has given you everything that is needed to live a good life.

Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Never lose an opportunity of seeing anything beautiful, for beauty is God’s handwriting.” I do believe God gave us daily abundant life from a loving heart. Giving from the heart is the act of love. Love beings are givers, and to be a loving being, your heart needs to be worked on first. The orientations about several life factors must change, and perceptions towards many other things must be reviewed and renewed.

2 Corinthians 9:7 says, “Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

Until we love first, we can’t give from the heart, and when we don’t give from the heart, it births two consequences. Firstly, it shows that we don’t love, and if we are Christians, that means we are living a life of lies. This is because God doesn’t send rain only on the just but rather on good and bad. Secondly, it shows that we don’t have a passionate heart as God does as we are supposed to imitate God (Ephesians 5:2).

Segregating the kind and group of people we give is not essential in the act of a loving heart. God’s first goal before us as believers is that we become as He is and the fulfilled nature of love. We need to make a conscious effort to move into nature, which can manifest with our giving. We shall learn the second reason tomorrow. Stay in love, “and walk in love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant sacrificial offering to God.” Ephesians 5:2

Prayer:
1. I give you thanks to your name, oh Lord; and to my father in heaven who gave me life.
2. Lord, as of today, my giving is intentional from my heart. No more compulsive giving; I give freely for your will and purposes on the earth in Jesus’ name. Amen!
