The Rage of the Enemies!

The Rage of the Enemies!

“They make their tongues as sharp as a serpent’s; the poison of vipers is on their lips.” Psalm 140:3

Today’s bible verse is a request from the Psalmist for God’s judgment to be unleashed on those who persecuted the faithful; it was written while under the threats of those who were his enemies; these were arrogant people who had plotted to cause him to stumble. They had schemed traps into which they supposed the psalmist would fall to accomplish their task. As emphasized by scholars, these traps are explained as life-threatening ones because the tongue of a serpent with poison under its lips is dangerous.

Prayer such as “My God, rescue me from the power of the wicked” is evidence that some wicked people are after his life and endeavoring to injure him. And these are the personal enemy who knows much about him that they can choose to strike at him anytime. Blessed Jesus that He survived and overcome! Who else can deliver in such a situation but God? Are you experiencing such a range from the enemy and the evil one? Don’t worry; God is on your side, and He will not let you down in Jesus’s name. Amen.

Joshua 1:9 says, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

It can only be God; the bible says, “If God is for us, who can ever be against us.” Therefore, even though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we shall fear no evil, for God is with us; His rod and staff will continue to comfort and protect us (Psalm 23:4). However, we should learn how to make our request known to God when we find ourselves such an issue. The more danger appears, the more earnest we should be in prayers to God. All are safe whom the Lord protects, and God is as able to keep his people from secret fraud as from open force. The experience we’ve had of his power and intervention in dangers of one kind will encourage us to depend on him in times of trouble.

Brethren, don’t worry; you shall surely give thanks amid that trouble or circumstances. As Psalm 140:13 said, (paraphrase) “Surely the righteous shall give thanks to God; the upright shall dwell in God’s presence.” Beloved, don’t allow anything to intimidate or destroy your faith. All you have to do is to remain as an obedient child of God and live a life that pleases Him in every way. If you are not faithful to God, it is time to change because that battle is not yours for taking but for the Lord. Amen. Psalm 27:1 says, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”

Prayer:
1. Father Lord, you are my hiding place and shield; I know I will not be put to shame because my hope is in you (Psalm 119:114).
2. Glorious father, you have made me a promise through your word that the rod of the wicked will not fall on the allotted portion of the righteous, make haste to deliver me in Jesus’ name. Amen
