The Servant Purpose!

“He gives us more grace. Therefore, He says: “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” James 4:6

God resisted the proud but gives grace to the humble. Some weeks back, while going through the scriptures. The spirit of God points my attention to 1 Corinthians 1:26, saying, “Brethren, consider the time of your calling: Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were powerful; not many were of noble birth.” This verse got me thinking about what made the word of God profitable to some people but seems useless to others.

Why are some chosen and some not chosen? The holy spirit answered that question in Matthew 22:1-14 when a man was tossed out of the wedding Banquet because he lacked preparation for the wedding feast. This is where the word of God comes into play that “many are called, but few are chosen.” In other words, your attitude towards the word of God matters a lot for it to be effective.

God has an abundance blessing for every call, but He is looking for prepared and humble-minded people who will do the work. Anyone that God will use for mighty works needs to pass the process of humility because it is only through the humble heart that God can accomplish His purpose of abundance blessing for you.

Proverb 22:4 says, “The reward of humility and the fear of the LORD Are riches, honor, and life.” Jesus humbled himself before God, which qualified him to receive a name that is greater and above every other name. (Phil 2:7-9). If you want to subdue kingdoms and obtain the promises of God, you need to take the form of a servant even though you are a son. “Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:28

Prayer:
1. Pray that God will give you the grace to take the form of a servant
2. You will never fall from grace to grass in Jesus’ name. Amen
