Wait Patiently! 3

“Wait patiently for the LORD; be strong and courageous. Wait patiently for the LORD!” Psalm 27:14

What do you call to your mind when waiting on God? Do you call for hope and faith or despair and fear? What do you say to yourself when expecting God’s grace and mercy to come through? All these questions sound a little awkward, and yet they are so important that we need to ask ourselves every time we are waiting on God.

We need to ask ourselves if we want God to help us on His terms or our terms. If we are waiting on God’s terms, then worries, fear, doubt, anger, frustration, hatred, and envy should not be our daily companions. God gives us life, and He gives it for a purpose because He has a plan for us. He asked us to ask, seek and knock because He has the answer to everything according to His will.

Lamentations 3:26 says, “It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.”

God wants us to know that he is with us in every situation. When we don’t know what’s going on around us; when we’re not sure about anything; when things are hard or confusing; when there’s no clear answer, when we feel like our lives are falling apart-God wants us to know that he is always with us in all times. The Bible says, “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

He knows when to take action and when not to take action. He knows when to give up and when to keep going. Likewise, He knows when to say no and when to say yes to every request. When to be silent and when to speak out. God is always there for you. He will never leave you alone or forsake your dreams and desires, but you must trust him with all your heart and soul. You must believe that he is faithful and trustworthy. Hebrews 10:37 says, “For, “In just a little while, He who is coming will come and will not delay.”

Prayer:
1. Father, I pray that you continue to guide me through every season of life.
2. Romans 10:13: I called on your name, O Lord, to help me overcome every obstacle that may stand in my way in Jesus’ name. Amen.
