What is Your Intention!

What is Your Intention!

“People may be pure in their own eyes, but the LORD examines their motives.” Proverbs 16:2

The intention is a powerful force for change. It is the purpose driving force behind our heart’s actions and decisions. That is why God wants our intentions to be in alignment with His will because the right intention in the spirits is what keeps our physical in the right direction. God is not just interested in what you’ve done or what you are doing; your intentions and motives are more important to Him. Many prayers had been turned down because they lacked the right purposes.

Our desire and intensity are not just the major prerequisites for an answered prayer; God looks deeply inside you to check your divine purpose for your request. The intention is the key to living a life that is meaningful and fulfilling. It’s the reason why we have so many desires and aspirations in life. It determines the direction and outcomes of our lives. Daniel Wallace said, “A storyteller makes up things to help other people; a liar makes up things to help himself.”

1 John 2:17 says, “the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.”

In everything, ensure you develop the right intention. You must have the right motive whenever you desire to please God or channel your works towards His kingdom. Anything that doesn’t possess a glimpse of God’s light or word must be checked. Irrespective of the challenges of this world, issues, prejudices, feelings, or environmental crises, endeavor to have the right intentions at all times. Do not be moved by what others do; sidestep the deceptive idea of the devil in your life.

Be reminded of your heavenly goals; let God’s will be the structure on which your intentions are built. This will not just rain blessings on you, but it will give you peace. When you have a good intention, it will bring peace and great joy. Romans 12:2 says, “Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is good, pleasing, and perfect will of God is.”

Prayer:
1. Thank God for today’s devotion, blessing, and praise God for his goodness in all things.
2. Lord, let your word teach me and guide me into your will. I refuse to be carried away by the lust of this world.
3. I Cast down every evil imagination and every high thing that exalted itself against the knowledge of God in my life and bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:5)
