When Surrounded by Defamers!

When Surrounded by Defamers!

“But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” James 1:4

Every situation in this present age cannot be all beautiful and pleasing; there will inevitably be up and downs. Likewise, there is nothing good you do, that won’t be subjected to either condemnation or reward. The most killing part is that both condemnation and reward are both ingredients for living a perfected life.

That explains why when someone in search of a quiet spouse might end up having a troublesome one. A parent praying for a glorious child might end up having the opposite one. But why? The reason is not far-fetched; it is to make our initial answers perfected. If you have God, instead of defamation to cost you your reputation, it will turn around for your good.

Moreover, did you know that Jesus was not perfected on earth from heaven? He came as a mere common man to lay down his life for us; he was perfected by the accusations, gossips, heretic questions of the Pharisees and Sadducee. How? There are over 12 scenes in the book of Mathew alone, where Jesus was accused of things he is not guilty of; he was asked provoking questions often to tag him a lawbreaker. I would like you to do a revisit to the book of Mathew as I won’t be able to list them all out.

Despite all this, Christ never for once cursed them or destroyed them; still, he was patient and calm to respond to offensive questions, with the help of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, you should expect more, as it is inevitable for people to gossiped about you. So, the antidote is (John 15;16-20). Matthew 10:22 says, “Everyone on account of My name will hate you, but the one who perseveres to the end will be saved.”

Prayer
1. Thank God for his wonder-working power that is making you grow up as calves of the stall. (Malachi 4;2)
2. Tell him to open your spiritual perspectives to view challenges as a process of the cross.
3. Pray for the grace to love your enemies. Amen
