You Will Never Stumble!

You Will Never Stumble!

“Therefore, brethren, be more diligent in making your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble” 2 Peter 1:10

The journey of a Christian is full of topsy-turvy experiences, but we must remember that the world itself is not stable because it has been founded upon the water (Psalm 24:2). Therefore, it is practically impossible to be in this world without experiencing stumbling times. But those who are not of this world, who see themselves as pilgrims on this earth will not fear nor stumble, because their focus is on how to make their calling and election sure.

However, to be a partaker of the divine nature that will not cause us to stumble 2 Peter 1:5 says, we must add some keyword to your faith as well: such as diligence, faith, virtue, knowledge, self-control, patience, godliness, kindness, and love. And if you focus on all this thing and continue to grow in it, you will not stumble, but instead, you will become effective and productive in life. (Vs.8)

If you continually focus on maintaining your inner mind with knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ and avoid evil desire, then you will not fall away from the grace of God. It is not that one cannot sin or stumble, but one’s spiritual work in the light of God’s direction will keep him within the realm of the cleansing blood of Jesus.

Nevertheless, you must diligently work out your salvation with caution (fear and trembling) Philippians 2:12, so that the good work the Lord has started in you will be perfected (Philippians 1:6). Therefore, do not let yourself be distracted by the temptations of temptation that leads you to become ineffective and unproductive with God. Proverbs 11:19 says, “Genuine righteousness leads to life, but the pursuit of evil brings death.”

Prayer:
1. I pray for you that on that day, you shall not be ashamed of Christ at his coming.
2. I present you to him that can keep you from stumbling in Jesus’ name. Jude 24
3. Pray against every stumbling spirit of evil heart desire to sin against God’s Will. Amen!
