
Rooted in Love!
“so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love.” Ephesians 3:17,
The heart is like a mighty tree, and love is the life sap that nourishes it. Just as a tree draws strength from the riverbank, we too must draw from the endless source of God’s affection. Remember the story of the Prodigal Son, who found not condemnation but a warm embrace upon his return. This beautiful narrative reminds us that God’s love is always there, waiting to welcome us home.
In Ephesians 3:17, we are invited to be rooted and grounded in love. This is where our strength lies — when we allow ourselves to soak in God’s unwavering affection. With every drop of this love, fear departs. Remember, as the saying goes “Fear uproots; love re-roots.” Therefore, let that love pervade your life and watch your spirit flourish. God’s love in us is not a feeling borrowed but a river sourced from heaven, running on even at midnight.
1 John 4:18-19 says, “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. We love because he first loved us.”
Remember, “The Holy Spirit doesn’t place love on our doorstep; He moves it in, fills every room, and leaves the lights on.” That’s why Romans 5:5 assures us that God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. With this divine infusion, we can bloom into our fullest potential. The strongest trees grow in wide circles of love, stretching their branches and sharing their shade with others. In this way, your love can become a conduit, radiating warmth and encouragement to those around you.
As you embark on new tasks, remember to pause and receive that love first. You are not alone; the divine current is always flowing around you. Whatever happened in the past, let go, and open your heart to the present embrace of God’s love. Romans 5:5 says, “And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” Amen.
Prayer for the Day!
Heavenly Father, thank You for the love that surrounds us every day. Help us to remain rooted in this love, allowing it to nourish our spirits and guide our actions. May we always remember that we are Your beloved children, welcomed home and wrapped in Your eternal embrace. In Jesus name. Amen.
