Ask: It’s the Father’s Delight to Hear You! 2

“You parent—if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead? Matthew 7:9

How well do you affirm that God is mindful of you? How well do you believe that God is aware of your needs? If you are not sure of the answer or are not aware of God’s plan, please ask. If you don’t ask, then you will never know what he has planned for you. Therefore, don’t close your mind to meditation or prayer.

Today’s bible verse asks a profound question: Would you, as a child of your parent, ask for a slice of meat and give you a stone? It is certainly not possible. Even the evil parent at times still knows how to give their children good gifts, not to talk of our Father in Heaven. God is greater, kind, loving than our earthly fathers; his delight is to see us live in Joy and happiness.

Matthew 7:7-8 says, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. 8For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.”

God demands us to pray and believe because we are worthy of receiving what we ask according to His will. There is no doubt, no guesswork; it has already plan and purpose to come to pass. However, believers need to be confident when they pray. See how John puts it, ‘we know that he hears us, we know we have the petition we desired of him.’ That is his will! His will is to hear us.

The earthly father delights in his children’s presence and meeting their needs, but our Father in heaven delights in us more. Enter the prayer room with this confidence, and you are sure to walk in all that is yours in Christ. It’s time to experience much more heavenly bliss than before. Take and enjoy all that the Father offers in the place of prayer. I call you blessed. Psalm 37:4 says, “Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart.”

1. Father, thank you for giving me the desire to pray and access your open heaven to answer my prayers.
2. Oh Lord, I ask for your guidance and encouragement in every area of my life in Jesus’ name. Amen
