Built on the Rock! 2
“Therefore, the Lord GOD said:” Look, I have laid a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; the one who believes will be unshakable.” Isaiah 28:16
The parable of the two builders; one built on the rock and the other built on sand, is one of the most famous examples of how God’s Word can create something that is not only Spiritual but also practical. In this case, Jesus was telling people to build their lives around the idea of building a house that will withstand the storm of life.
The foundation you built your life around must be reliable and durable. If you want something to stand up against the storms of life, it must be built upon the truth or fall apart. Either in business, ministries, career, marital life, relationship, or anything else, need to have a foundation of the right information to stand. Any faulty foundation might last only for a short time, but eventually, it will end in disaster that steals, destroy, and kill because they are not built upon the foundation of truth.
Many questions or information I got some time is “what is the best way to build a strong foundation?” “If I have many flaws and weaknesses, how can I rebuild my foundation? Or “Because my parent had built their life on a faulty foundation, how can I find a better one? Brethren, if you are in this category, I would like to ask you: What is your opinion about building your life on a strong foundation already built? Because there is a foundation to build on, and the gate of hell cannot prevail against it. That is Christ’s foundation.
1 Corinthians 3:11 says, “For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” in other words, He has given us the foundation to build our lives by his word. His written word, the teaching, and experience he laid down for us is the rock that we need to build upon and depends on Him. 1 Peter 2:6 says, “For it stands in Scripture: “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious, and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame.”
Prayer:
1. Father, I pray that you help me to build my life according to your word.
2. In the name of Jesus, I reverse every foundational error from my past life, marriage, business, and ministry.
3. Psalm 119:151-52, Oh Lord Jesus, take away every affliction and establish a new foundation for my life forever.
amen????
