“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” 2 Timothy 1:7

“Choose one hard conversation and let your voice arrive before your doubt does. Courage grows by showing up.” You see, in moments when we hesitate, remember the profound words of 2 Timothy 1:7: Just like Moses, who led the Israelites out of Egypt, we can find the strength to move forward. Moses didn’t allow fear to dictate his path; he pressed on, guided by faith. When we adopt courage, we step into the light of God’s promises.

Reflect on this: ‘Courage blooms when fear admits it is not the final word because God’s presence writes the rest of the story.’ Remember, the same Lord who walks beside you also goes before you. Each step you take is supported by divine assurance. As you engage in that difficult conversation or confront a situation you typically avoid, remember that you are not alone. The Holy Spirit travels with you, instilling the resolve you need.

Joshua 1:9 says, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Remember, “Light doesn’t ask permission to enter, so point your words like a lantern at the one shadow you dodge. Imagine your words as bright lanterns piercing through shadows of uncertainty. There’s power when you articulate your thoughts. Therefore, let them shine brightly in brave honesty. This act of faith allows your spirit to grow, illuminating the path ahead.

By inviting courage into your life, you become a beacon for others too. Speak life into situations you’d typically shy away from, and manifest the love and sound mind given to you. As you do so, you’ll not only uplift yourself but also inspire those around you to seek their own courage.  Psalm 27:1 says, “The Lord is my light and my salvation — whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life — of whom shall I be afraid?” Amen.

Prayer for the Day!

Heavenly Father, thank You for instilling in us a spirit of power, love, and sound mind. As we rise in courage, remind us of Your resurrection power that fuels our hearts. May we step boldly into each situation, illuminate the darkness with our voices, and trust that You are always with us. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
