Delay is Dangerous! 3

In the medical field, one of the best ways to cure a disease and restore health better is to avoid delays in the treatment and recovery process. When we delay our treatment, we will lose hope of effective healing and can become more susceptible to other diseases or turn chronic. Some delays in treatment can lead to death.

Likewise, when people delay repentance for their sins or has no desire to repent from sin, their faith in God will be weakened and gradually fall apart from God’s glory. Isaiah 59:2 says, “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you, that he will not hear.” Sin is the most common cause of suffering for many people because God can not behold iniquity.

John 8:34, “Jesus said, “I assure you: Everyone who commits sin is a slave of sin.”

I understand, you have read Ephesians 2:8-9 that said: “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” But don’t let the devil deceive you and keep you in the bondage of sin. That verse does not work for the perpetual sinner who takes grace for granted or who has no hope to change their lives.

Romans 6:1 says, “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?”

Delay in repentance is dangerous. Repent now of your sins before it is too late. Don’t wait for another day before you come to Jesus, the burden lifter, and confess your sins. Jesus is a loving savior. He came for the purpose of saving sinners like you. He was sent by God to change sinners’ status from death to eternal life through his blood. 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

2. Oh! Lord separate me from any forces influencing and pulling me back from growing spiritually, in Jesus’ name.
