Delay is Dangerous! 5
Welcome to today’s daily devotion. The woman you read her story on yesterday’s devotion is wise, but she fell into the oppression that makes her become stagnant and looks like a beast. Likewise, you are wise also, but the enemy plans to make you mad and lost your mind to delay forgiveness that can welcome depression and anxiety in your house as guests. Ecclesiastes 7:7 says, “Surely oppression destroys a wise people’s reason, and a bribe debases the heart.”
Delay in forgiveness ruins life for those who have been wronged. “Unforgiveness is unlocking the door to set someone free and realizing you were the prisoner.” Max Lucado. Unforgiveness and resentment are poisonous doses that the torturers left behind for you to swallow. It has become one of the significant weapons the enemy used to take advantage of our health, lives, and even our minds.
2 Corinthians 2:11 say, “Lest Satan should take advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his scheme…”
Forgive those that hurt you and let them go, though you might appear as a fool, you actually release them into the hands of he that says, “VENGEANCE IS MINE…” Hebrew 12:14-15 encouraged us to “make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness, no one will see the Lord. See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God, and no bitter root rises to cause trouble and defile many.”
Live in peace with everyone doesn’t mean that you’ve to trust them with your savings account; it’s just that you become wiser to know their scheme and what you will trust them with again. James 3:13 says, “Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.”
Prayer:
1. Pray that God should give strength to forgive those who have wronged you in one way or another. (You can pray this prayer on behalf of SOMEBODY and share the message with them).
2. Pray against every device and plan of the enemy, such as UNFORGIVENESS, to set you up to catch fire now.
