Delay is Dangerous! 6
Nelson Mandela said, “If there are dreams about a beautiful South Africa, there are also roads that lead to their goal. Two of these roads could be named Goodness and Forgiveness.” When you do good, untold peace will be released unto you, but when you forgive, you will gain speed to your promise land.” In other words, forgiveness is a burden lifter of the spirit and mind to those who are willing to forgive.
“And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.” Mark 11:25
As God forgives you for your sins, so shall you forgive people that have wronged you (Matthew 6:12). Life is sweet; don’t mix it up with bitterness. The Bible says, today is the day of joy, then why do you want to mix it with anger, hatred, and resentment? You should be careful not to mix these things because it will yield an unwanted product.
“Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.” Luke 6:37
If someone wronged you, remember that it’s a sin to delay forgiveness. When you are angry about someone’s action, point out the mistakes they made, and forgive them immediately. This way, you can avoid brewing anger, bitterness, and resentment for an extended period. Psalm 4:4 says, “Be angry, yet do not sin; on your bed, search your heart and be still.”
The precious time you have is limited; you must make sure that you don’t waste it on something which could have been avoided by doing things differently. In other words, you should never let yourself get caught up with the product of anger or blame. Instead, let your time be directed towards God’s will. “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not give the devil a foothold.” Ephesians 4:27
