Discipline Pays Dividends!
“For the moment, all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.” Hebrews 12:10
One of the core principles of devotion time is discipline. I will use my personal experience as an illustration. When I started my Christian journey, I made many decisions toward being devoted to whatever pertains to God, but I discovered I was never able to do them correctly at first. I would plan a means of seeing the word of God at all times, try to pray whenever it comes to my mind, and tried to be so sensitive to things that bring me to God’s presence.
But overtimes, I failed being consistent, and anytime I return to do them, I feel like I am just starting all over. There was no growth, and I was living a baby-life for years. I would make my confessions again and again, but then, I realized being in God’s presence isn’t an act you do with mere words; it is more of actions and strong discipline.
The world is so filled with issues and beauties that could be quickly swift one away, but it takes a deliberate heart to keep going on Christ’s part. To be prayerful, feed on the word of God, a witness for Christ with your life, and ensure that you stay in His presses at every moment required discipline. And discipline is a catalyst that can bring constant change and growth without even realizing it. So, a so-called Christian must be disciplined in all dealing.
Therefore, discipline is necessary to live a godly life. If you are consistent in doing the things that bring you closer to God, they quickly become part of you when you do them. When you are disciplined in matters of God, your minds will be more focused on what is right, and you are bound for greatness. Press in for such a realm! Leviticus 11:44 says, “For I am the LORD your God. You shall, therefore, consecrate yourselves, and you shall be holy; for I am holy. Neither shall you defile yourselves with any creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
Prayer:
1. Father, I thank you for all you’ve done for me, be exalted. I receive the grace to heed to your calls and be discipline to your ways, Lord.
2. In the name of Jesu, today, I decree a lifting up for you, marriage, ministry, finance, business, health, and everything that connects to your enlargement.
