Dividing The Word of God!
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a worker that does not need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15
God is at all-time pleased with men who are totally submissive to His word. In God’s word, we find His will and guidance to life. Apart from these, God speaks to us per time through His word, and this can only be made available to men who are devoted and diligent in seeking God via His written word. God really delight in every servant who has an understanding of the word and can divinely interpret every content written in it.
In our generation, we find many who speak as motivators or inspirational speakers by using a particular part of the scripture to defend their intent. These set of people usually gather people specifically for what they want people to know or hear from them and not what God really has for the people. And sometimes, some individuals are so selective to people they listen to: they look to people who have what they want to hear.
In such a situation, we separate and receive words that only seem comforting to us from the truth and core things God really wants to give us at the moment. This also happens while we read the word of God. In our endeavor to divide and receive understanding from God’s Word, we must be devoted to it, be spiritual, and do away with any form of argument in God’s word.
Every unnecessary argument will only waste time and energy, which also does hurt our spiritual life and other believers. So, give yourself to the word, study it to ensure that you offer the right message to others. This will also help you discern the right message when you hear them. 2 Peter 1:10 says, “Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things, you will never stumble.”
Prayer:
Jesus, I believe that you are the word, help me to love your word that I may be able to devote myself and receive the truth in your word.
Words can’t express your thanks for sharing the life-changing words of God!
