DO YOU STILL REMEMBER! 2
“Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?” 1 Corinthians 1:20
There is a proverb that reflects upon the mystery of a person, saying, “If you don’t know where you are going, always remember where you came from or where you started.” In other word, to understand your full identity or achieve your full potential, you must remember where you came from. That will leads you on a journey of self-discovery, better growth, and full of glory.
People gave up quickly in life because they forget who they are or who they were before. They run after someone dreams and aspirations and then lose sight of their real purpose. When we lose our purpose, it’s like a thief chasing the wind. When we pursue the wind, we can become lost in the worldly things and never find our true purpose.
1 Corinthians 1:26 says, “My dear friends, remember what you were when God chose you. The people of this world didn’t think that many of you were wise. Only a few of you were in places of power, and not many of you came from important families.”
You might not look like the one who was called to be a leader, a game-changer in the family, CEO, or an ambassador for Christ but remember that “God chose the foolish thing in the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose what the world looks down on and despises and thinks as nothing, to destroy what the world thinks is important so that nobody can boast in God’s presence.” 1 Corinthians 1:27-30
Prayer:
1. Lord, I thank you for your mercy and steadfast love for me
2. Dear Lord, I pray that you will help me to understand my purpose in life in Jesus name.
3. Oh! Lord, help me to understand Christ as wisdom.
