Don’t be deceived; God Knows!

“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? “I the Lord search the heart and test the mind, to give every one according to their ways, according to the fruit of their deeds.” Jeremiah 17:9-10

It is a way of thinking that we are not capable of understanding what it means to be human. But God understands our minds better than any other person can ever know himself or herself. He knows everything about us. He knows all of our weaknesses and strengths, the way things are supposed to be done, and that is why He has a structured plan of how we should act to overcome them.

However, many people have allowed themselves to become so caught up in their thoughts and education status that they forget the importance of knowing God’s word. The reason why people lose the battle of their minds with the devil is because of how academia teaches us to think about God. The education system is good, don’t get me wrong or confused by it because God set everything up for a reason. It is not only for academics but also for other areas of life.

For instance, physics deals with the energetic and dynamic process of learning, Chemistry deals with chemical reactions, biology deals with physical processes like cell division to understand the science of living things; mathematics deals with mathematical concepts like probability, calculus, etc.; Psychology is concerned with mental processes like emotions, and behavior. It is an essential thing to know in our lives. But what about knowing God Himself? The only one God who is behind everything.

God is the creator of all that exists in this world and everything else around us. He is the author of all nature and all beings, both in the physical and spiritual realms. He called things into existence by His word without the assistance of a professor of science or consent of any other being. Why can’t you know Him personally and be influenced by His words to change your world? He is an unchangeable changer and can change anything. Psalm says, “Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure.”

Prayer:
1. Oh, Almighty God, grant me the strength to keep my head when all doubt has me doubting.
2. I want to know you deeply, Lord God, guide me in every way that may lead me to the truth in Jesus’ name. Amen
