Empowered by His Authority!
“Jesus gave them this answer: ‘Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.”John 5:19
In today’s bible verse, Jesus said, I can do nothing of myself but to obey my Father and follow Him. In Christianity, the way things are structured is far different from the world system. We are confronted with different situations, either big or small, but we stay and fight through it right. However, we must recognize and gives credit of trust to the one who has given us the capacity to see it through.
A soldier of every nation or kingdom is empowered and catered for by the kingdom’s government. As apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 9:7 that no soldiers serve at their own expense (paraphrase). However, many are being tossed to and fro because they have not aware that the kingdom is responsible for all their needs.
Romans 11:33 says, “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!”
Our protection, our victory, our blessing comes to the limelight, the earlier we cast all our care upon him. 1 Peter 5:7 says, Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. The bible also made it clear that Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. (Luke 12:32). The more we imitate Jesus as the kingdom’s pattern, the lesser the struggle to win by human effort.
The secret behind Jesus’ victory and progress was the awareness that he could not do anything of himself except what the Father told him to do. That explains why Jesus frequently pray to his Father, when there is and when there is no need. Empowerment comes only by trusting him completely. Romans 2:4 says, “Or do you disregard the riches of His kindness, tolerance, and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness leads you to repentance?”
Prayer:
1. Father, forgive me forever trying to think or do things by myself.
Lord Jesus, I receive grace to submit myself to the authority of the kingdom, even when I know what to do or not. Amen
