Experience Applied is Experience Learn!
“Therefore, do not be absurd, but understand what the Lord’s will is.” Ephesians 5:17
God deals with the human in such a powerful and revelatory way. How God walked with several men and women both in the Bible times has become templates of a dimensional walk with God by several others who love to know God. The real sense of Christianity is that you can’t know God all by yourself.
God uses iron to sharpen irons; He can use anything to get the job done and teaches us about life. There are specific things God has hidden in other people like you that He wants you to learn from them because His dealings with you are a testimony for others. You have learned lessons and insights about God, relationships, temptations, problems, and other aspects of life. Unfortunately, we often do not learn from many things that happen to us.
2 Timothy 3:16 says, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for instruction, for conviction, for correction, and training in righteousness.”
The only thing we have mastered over time is to ask “WHY ME” when we pass through our dark times, especially the dealings of God. You cannot learn everything in life by trial and error, or else, you may not have a life to live the experience you eventually gather. The lives we live and others’ lives are loads of experiences; therefore, learn from them.
God needs your experience to train a generation. It’s a sign of maturity to extract lessons from everyday experiences. What lessons have you learned about family, church, disappointment, sickness, pain/sorrow, hardship, failure, and several others? Can it be a tool to spread God’s love to men? Pay attention and learn. James 1:5 says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
Prayer:
1. Oh Lord, give me wisdom and knowledge to learn a thing in your ways.
2. Lord, let every bitterness in my experience turns to joy. Please help me to learn your ways.
