Fear GOD and Give GLORY to Him!
“And I saw another angel fly amid heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people; Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.” Revelation 14: 6-7
FEAR GOD in the context of this scripture is not to be ashamed of him because of what people say or to deny God. This encourages you and me to count the suffering for God as a process of being glorified and to receive the crown of glory when we are not ashamed to preach the gospel. No matter where we are in life, we must preach the gospel that gives glory to God in the process.
When you about to share the word of God with others, Jesus said, “Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.” Mathew 10: 28
John admonishes us as sons of God to boldly preach the good news about the kingdom of our father; in doing this, we are glorifying God (Romans 1:17). We need to boldly preach the gospel so that when the hour of judgment comes, we won’t be held accountable for the sins of many, and many will be saved from death (James 5:20).
If you are the type that is ashamed to preach the gospel, the bible says God is going to be ashamed of you, so therefore pray for the boldness to proclaim the good news just like the apostle did in the early church. “So anywhere you go in the world, tell everyone the Good News.” Mark 16:15.
PRAYER:
1. Thank god for the privilege he has given to you to be counted worthy to preach the gospel.
2. Oh! Lord, give me the boldness to preach the good news to others in Jesus’ name.
