“It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are Spirit and life.” John 6:63

Amid life’s storms, God’s voice echoes through the chaos, offering solace and guidance to those who listen. So, the third Certainties to Hold Onto During Life’s Storms is that God Speaks to us. One of the most comforting aspects of life’s storms is that we can always count on God to speak to us. In Matthew 14:26-27, Jesus exhibits this by calling out to His fearful disciples amidst a raging storm. He calls out to His frightened disciples and encourages them not to be afraid. Just as He reassured them not to be afraid, we too can find solace knowing that God will speak comfort and encouragement in our troubled times.

When life becomes overwhelming, and trials weigh heavily on our hearts, it is essential to remember that God does not abandon us. Instead, He speaks tenderly to us, offering words of hope and reassurance. These divine messages bring peace amid chaos, reminding us we are not alone in our struggles. It is important to cultivate a listening heart during these difficult moments. By turning to Scripture and committing time for prayer and reflection, we allow ourselves to become open vessels ready to receive God’s guidance.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”

Through the Holy Spirit, God speaks directly into the depths of our souls, providing strength and peace even when everything seems uncertain. God’s communication may manifest in different ways for each person – through Scripture verses that suddenly resonate with a deep understanding, through the wise words of mentors or loved ones sent at just the right time, or even through a still small voice within our hearts prompting us towards certain actions or decisions.

Regardless of how He chooses to communicate with us individually, the important thing is to remain attentive and receptive. Even when life tosses us into storms of uncertainty and fear, we can trust that God will never fail to speak words of love and encouragement into our lives. Through His guidance, we can find peace, faith, and renewed strength as we weather life’s storms together with Him by our side. Amen. Proverbs 30:5 says, “Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.” Amen.
