Give it Higher Preference!
“Seek first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:33
In priority of time, we must consider the importance of our priorities. If we don’t prioritize and place orderliness on the top priority list, we will never have a chance to accomplish anything worthwhile. Lack of priorities can lead to many problems and time-wasting. When we are not focused on what is important, we might not achieve what we want on time. This is why it’s so important to prioritize your priorities to accomplish things on a timely basis.
As Christians, if we don’t want to become unjust stewards, we should always prioritize seeking the kingdom of God with a higher preference than others. In other words, we must be careful about who and what we choose to seek first and how we choose to spend our time. Because priority treatment is what we are all looking for in life. Every step of the way, we want God to treat us special. Therefore, giving higher preference to the things of God’s kingdom first should be a lifestyle because it gives us privileges and personalized blessings that make the journey of life more comfortable and convenient.
Matthew 5:6 says, “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.”
Your number one priority about prosperity is your soul first through the kingdom of God; the bible says, “Seek first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness and all these things shall be added to you.” However, some might say I believe in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Personal savior; and quote John 3:16 …whosoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” That is true because the day you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal savior, that was the day you opened an account at the treasure bank in heaven for your spiritual prosperity so that you can have treasure in heaven and make your soul prosper.
However, the treasure bank of your soul must not be empty; Therefore, you must do what Jesus asked you to do to increase your treasure in heaven. Your faith in God is your initial deposit, but faith without work is dead. That’s why your daily relationship with God while seeking Him first increases your faith to overcome life circumstances that might ruin your day. A lack of faith can affect your day, make you anxious in life, and causes you to lose focus on what matters most in life. Remember, in John 5:30, Jesus said: “I can of my self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not my own will, but the will of the Father which has sent me.”
Prayer:
1. Thank God for his faithfulness over your life and the life of people around you.
2. LORD, I give you soaring praise for your mercy, faithfulness, forgiveness, and protection over my life and loved ones.
3. Ask God to enlighten your eyes and minds of understanding unto salvation concerning the treasure of your soul this season in the name of Jesus.
