God’s Voice!
“And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth.”1 Samuel 3:10
God’s voice is active and alive in our lives. It is a constant presence in our lives, whether we are paying attention or not. His voice will continue to reveal His character, purpose, and the deepest secret of things in life. Do not take his voice for granted, because it’s sharper than any two-edged sword.
“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrew 4:12.
It is factual that contemporary Christians give little or no attention to God’s voice. How I wish, I could place emphasizes on this, even while raising our children. Samuel was just a young boy who couldn’t decode God’s voice until Eli had to enlighten him. Learning to discern God’s voice early in life gives our life a rapid shape because, in His voice, we find directions in life.
God is at all-time ready to speak to us. As a matter of fact, He speaks at all time, but how can we say He speaks when we can’t hear His voice or not ready to pay attention. You don’t need a unique device or a special time to listen to Him. You need to be aware of the way he speaks and listens. God’s voice is always there for you. It doesn’t have to be loud as thunder or clear as the sky, but it can be heard when your spirit is connected to Him.
It is essential to be very sensitive while hearing because there are many voices. “There are many languages in the world, yet none of them is without meaning.” 1 Corinthians 14:10). However, what you listen to can change your life for good or worse. Note that every voice that speaks contrary to the word of God is not of God.
Nevertheless, the devil too, can deceitfully use the word of God to speak to you. That’s why you have to be spiritual, allow the Holy Spirit to guide you to the truth. Don’t wait until you need directions before you seek God’s voice He earnestly desires that you hear Him daily.
There’s a lot He has to tell you about your life today, but do you care to hear His voice?Psalm 85:8 says, “I will listen to what God will say; surely the LORD will declare peace to his people, his faithful ones, and not let them go back to foolish ways.”
Prayer:
1. Lord, I am thankful for your guidance in this challenging time. I know that you are with me through it all.
2. God, I’m ready to be guided and be led by your voice. Speak to me, Lord.
3. In the name of Jesus, I come against every evil voice that is trying to take away my freedom and life now.
